Ptosis infection 2 weeks after surgery - What's happening? (photo)

I had ptosis surgery about 2 weeks ago, I found out last Thursday I had an infection, I went to A&E to see a nurse and they’ve put me on antibiotics.. everything seemed to be doing well until this morning when I woke up with a sore red bump? What’s happening? I’m worried Also shouldn’t my stitches have dissolved by now? Also my eye is still VERY droopy

With any procedure, there are some rare yet serious risks. Although infection is generally rare with eyelid surgery, there is always a small chance with any surgery. From the pictures you uploaded, there are signs suggestion of infection and you should contact your plastic surgeon that performed the procedure in the first instance. Although antibiotics are often indicated, it is not possible to give medical advise without knowledge of your general health and medical history. With the correct treatment, if an infection is present once under treatment symptoms generally recovery quickly.

Infection is one of the early complications associated with any surgical procedure.At this point it would be best to have your physician treat the infection and closely coordinate with the board certified plastic surgeon who did your surgery.
