I had ptosis surgery in Late nov 2017 yet my eyelid still appears swollen. I asked my surgeon and he recommended Dermatix silicone gel which made the swelling even worse. The swelling is now back to how it was before I used the gel. Will this swelling heal over time or would something like a cold compress help? Aside from this I am happy with the surgery as it has relieved the uncomfortable, tired feeling I used to always have.
