Hello, I’ve recently had some PRP done across my scalp 18 months post FUE. I feel like the effects have been bad and that my hair is now worse. Is it possible to damage transplanted follicles with PRP injections? I fear my transplanted follicles may be falling out after 2 sessions of PRP. Any ideas or thoughts? Thanks

Answer: PRP causing hair loss The PRP with not physically damage the transplanted hairs, but as some of the other doctors mentioned you could have some initial shedding shortly after the PRP trreatment. If shedding of transplanted hairs occur this should be temporary.

Answer: Can you damage hair follicles with PRP? ATLANTA, GEORGIA, USA Thank you for posting this question. You cannot "damage" hair follicles with PRP, but it can induce a brief period of shedding. Really any and all treatments that are significantly effective in treating hair loss can cause a brief shedding period when starting the treatment. I would follow up with your doctor and have a look at the photographs that were taken prior to surgery. I hope this information is helpful to you.
