What are the options for removing fat from the knees? (photo)

Question

As they aren't a common place to have fat removed, I'm struggling to find out the procedures. My knees have been like this since childhood and whatever my fitness/weight stay the same. (The cellulite doesn't show as much in the photos.)

Thanks for the question. Its amazing that we have come this far that we actually have good ways to improve on the shape and contour and even texture of knees. My preference is to perform some minimally invasive liposuction to sculpt the areas, wait until they are healed than inject sculpture in the skin to stimulate new and better collagen. We have even added some micorneedling to improve the upper layer of the skin. See someone who does a lot and has an interest in this small but fun area to treat!

Based on your photo, it seems you will benefit from a liposuction procedure. This procedure will contour your knees and remove stubborn fat around your knee cap, giving you a better contour.

Thank you for your question.  Based on your photos you seem to be an excellent candidate for liposuction. I have performed this procedure on the knees numerous times with great success.  Liposuction is best used for stubborn pockets of fat that do not respond to diet and exercise.Be sure to seek a board certified cosmetic surgeon when you decide to have your treatment. The media  fat pad between the knees is a good candidate in the right individual.   The remainder of the knees simply does not do well with liposuction.   The results are either zero or  things look  worse.    My Best,  Dr Commons
