So it has not been a year and a half since I had my surgery and I have dents on the left side of my stomach and a part of my belly button that sticks out . I talked to my surgeon and he said maybe we should go in again because there is still some fat left I am just worried that I'm going to end up worse . If I lose weight will it go away ? Is it fibrosis ? It's really hard almost feels like a ab poking out . Thank you in advanced .
Answer: Revision liposuction It is hard to say from the photo without an examination but you to some degree you can see for yourself if the problem is an indent, protrusion adjacent to a perceived indent or some combination of both. If you cannot pinch the skin and it is stuck down to the muscle too much fat was removed and you may have formed scar tissue deep to the skin. If that is the case removing more fat or losing weight is not the answer. Unfortunately uneven surface contour is the most common problem after liposuction.

Answer: VASER HI DEF 4D LIPO / 360 Degree Liposculpture / Body Contouring / HD Sculpting With Fat Transfer / Revision Lipo This needs revision and may require tummy tuck to release all the scar and also liposuction at the same time. I suggest seeing an expert in body shaping. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Bump after liposuction Dear Gruppeluv,it is hard to tell if it is fibrosis without an examination. But based on your photo, it looks like a residual fat tissue. You will most likely benefit from a liposuction of that area. Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery

Answer: Post-Liposuction contour irregularities thank you for your uestion, and picture. I'm sorry you are experiencing issues with your liposuction. From your picture, it looks like the fatty tissue is uneven and you may have some scar tethering of the skin. Non-surgical modalities like Sculpsure and injectables may help improve your count our irregularities, but I think a redo liposuction to smooth the area out and break up any tethering scar tissue will give you the best result.

Answer: Treatment options after poor outcomes from liposuction Poor outcomes after liposuction can be very difficult and at times not possible to correct. This is especially true in areas that I've been over treated. Based on what you describe that sounds like what happened to you. Treatment options include revision liposuction to make the area more even. Fat transfer can be attempted though this is often not successful if there's no tissue to graft into. Based on your results I personally would be very reluctant to let the same doctor operate on me twice. Confirm your doctor is a board-certified plastic surgeon. Even so, consider a second opinion. Best, Mats Hagstrom M.D.
