Repeat liposuction can be more painful and take longer to heal in some people. Scar tissue from prior procedures can make them process and recovery more difficult.Close follow up with your plastic surgeon is recommended for instructions during this time.
Hi pdavis,You are absolutely correct that scar tissue forms after initial treatment with liposuction and any subsequent lipo will have some degree of scar tissue. Everyone is different in terms of how much scar tissue they form and this leads to a slightly more painful process the second go around. During your second procedure, some of the scar tissue will be removed but you will form some additional scar tissue. The best thing to do is to follow up with your surgeon.Hope this helps
You are correct: scar tissue development after Liposuction leads to a more difficult repeat procedure which is often challenging for the surgeon and the patient.Best treatment is avoid having another procedure in an area previously treated, minimize salt consumption, exercise, prolonged use ( could you squeeze into a smaller garment?) of compression garment, add Turmeric to your diet.
Second time around there is typically an abundance of scar tissue that makes it more difficult for your plastic surgeon to remove fat. This can result in more pain. However, when operating a second time in these cases surgeons will use more laser energy to break down the fat than the first time. This usually results in less pain since the fat is even more liquid and easier to remove. Another alternative for secondary cases is using Vaser or Bodytite as its more powerful than smart lipo and better in breaking up scar tissue. Either way you should follow up with your plastic surgeon as every person can respond to pain in a different way and you want to make sure nothing else is going on.

Yes, it is often quite helpful as a revision alternative after a previous liposuction procedure, where irregularly clustered fat cells have been left behind. Have also included a video that shows a laser liposuction procedure:
This is absolutely normal. Especially during the healing period the fist month or so. As the collagen stars reforming and restructuring itself during the 2nd and 3rd months this sensation will gradually subside. Often recommended to use over the counter benadryl cream as its reported to be...
