How long after a BBL does the fat get a blood supply?

There is no precise study for this question yet, however, we have indications that as soon as after 48 hours post surgery, there is an established network between the transferred cells and the body. This does not necessarily mean blood supply, but it includes other methods of connection between the patient's body and the fat cells.

fat viability depends a lot of surgeon technique. The fat has to be placed back into the buttocks as soon as possible so that it has a greater chance of survival. It has to be placed carefully so that not too much fat is placed in only one area. If you gain weight after surgery, it would be more pronounced in areas with transferred fat.

Not enough research exists to specifically answer your question. Robust cells will either flourish or die within four weeks. Cells adjacent to the one with their own blood supply can survive as well. It’s important to keep pressure off of the treated area to allow for maximum blood flow. Also to create a conducive environment for the growth of fat, it is recommended to eat a high carbohydrate diet and consume 100 g of protein for healing for 2-4 weeks following the fat transfer. To ensure that you do not burn off any additional fat, it’s recommended that you avoid fat burning exercises for the first 2 months.
