I have had a 2nd hair transplant and I look balder than before at 2 months post-op?

It can take 6 to 12 months after surgery to see results.  If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor.  Sometimes you may look worse before the hairs grow in.

What you are describing seems to be some shock loss after your surgery. You need to be patient, transplanted hair is strong and should grow back beginning at the 3-4 month mark. If you had miniaturizing native hair in the treated area, then it was destined already to fall out and will likely not grow back. It may be possible to speed up the recovery with medical and laser therapy. Any concerns or questions should be addressed by your surgeon. 

Dont worry.Transplanted graft’s hair starts to shedding in the first week of surgery and may go on untill 4-6 th weeks after surgery. İt is not surprising to lost approx.  %70-80 of all transplanted hair shafts in first month when you are washing, gently rubbing  or touching the head. İt is shock loss and not permanent. Even your native hair may affected with that post traumatic transient hair loss…New hair at transplant and donor area starts to grow at 3-4 th month after surgery .

It sounds like you have had shockloss from your latest procedure. Hopefully this is temporary and it will grow back within the next few months. Continue to follow your doctor's post op instructions and it should improve in the coming months. 

Do not panic. It could be normal a shock loss after one or more surgeries. Be patient, it will take 15-18 months to see the final results of a 2nd surgery. It is important to contact your surgeon for any question you may have. 

Shock loss is not an uncommon problem after hair transplant surgery, and transplanted follicles can be involved after subsequent procedures.  It is vey unlikely that there is permanent damage to your original grafts, but it may take several months for the hair to grow back.

The shedding that may occur from a Second hair transplant could be shock loss of native hair or short term loss of the previous hair transplanted grafts which will come back.
