Bat ears, LHS ear is more protruding (it is very obvious). I have approached the doctor regarding surgery and they're looking into it (NHS funding etc...). I know that both ears can be pinned back but can the larger ear be made less protruding (may be folded from the top?). I want them to be as close as symmetrical as possible.

Answer: I have 'bat ears' & one ear is bigger than the other. Is it possible to make the larger ear smaller?
Placing earbuds does not require manipulation of the pinna (ear itself). As long as you are gentle inserting them, you should be able to use earbuds immediately following surgery.Best, Stephanie Power MD, MSc, FRCSC
Without examining you it's difficult to be sure but unless you heard or felt a pop then I'm sure everything is fine. At this point to have a little pressure on the posterior of the ear is probably safe. If you are concerned then you should book an appointment with your surgeon to be reexamined....
Your surgeon is the one who is best able to guide you on exercise post surgery as he or she knows the scope of the surgery and the specifics about you. Typically, you can begin light exercise at about 3 weeks, and you will be able to ramp up activity per the direction of your surgeon.
