Hard lumpy Welts under jaw after Ulthera

I am very sorry to hear that you have experienced welts under your chin and on your neck after Ultherapy. I don´t know any details of your treatment, but I want to reassure you.  We do a lot of Ultherapy at Clinica London and see very few side effects, to date all of them temporary. The skin on the neck itself is very delicate and any treatment, surgery, injury, burn, can give rise to temporary welts. We all think of the neck skin as being thick but actually it is quite thin. It sounds as if your neck skin has reacted with some swelling and inflammation to the Ultherapy. Ultherapy involves micro-focused thermo-coagulation of the deep dermis at different depths, effectively heat. It is most likely that your welts will recover completely, and not form a future scar. No photos were provided. May I suggest that you go to see a dermatologist to request their professional opinion and treatment if you are still concerned?Meanwhile, you can put some light anti-inflammatory ointment or cream on it, until you can see a dermatologist.
