I'm 2 weeks out from a TT. I'm very petite (5ft2in, 84 pounds) and have only now regained my appetite. But I like to eat very voluminous (but low fat, fibrous and healthy meals) at a time as opposed to spreading my cals through the day. I also drink large amounts of water. Both these things tend to leave me feeling quite full and bloated. Although this has been my practice for years i'm now concerned that this will cause my TT repair to fail or affect my results in some way. Is this possible? Thank you.

Answer: Large meals, post tt Hi anon6587Although you eat healthy, in the long run, daily binges are likely not the ideal way to consume. I would check with a dietitian, but I think grazing is likely the best way, with limiting later in the evening eating. However, with respect to your surgery, I can speak with more authority. Especially in the first 6 weeks post op you don't want to stress the repair- including getting bloating. After that initial post op time continued bloating will over time stretch out your abdominal wall.Hope this helps.sek
