Correcting sausage eyelids: I am Japanese/English. At 38 I noticed that my eyes were becoming smaller.

Hard to say without a picture, but it does sound like you have had a 'conventional' blepharoplasty. this always goes badly wrong in oriental patients who end up with swollen and exposed lid platforms.  This is a difficult problem to address, and you will need to be assessed by an expert oculoplastic surgeon only. Do not see a generally plastic surgeon. Best of luck with your future treatment. 

I dont' see a picture attached but from your description it sounds like your asian eye lid was made to look more Caucasian. The position and contour of the lid crease is very different in the Asian eyelid than a Caucasian one. Asian eyelid surgery is practically a specialty onto itself. An surgeon experienced with complications of Asian eye lid surgery could reposition the lid crease and perhaps work with the fat to achieve a more desired look. That work is not for the average eyelid surgeon. You should probably ask the future doctor for pictures of his/her  revision Asian blepharoplasty work before any surgery.
