Question

Saw my surgeon as my implant flipped, he said they were fine even though my right breast is flat on the nipple. One year after surgery they look worse, saggy and a strange shape. Surgeon said he has never seen this before said i need a lift i was in tears. His other surgeon flipped my left implant over, said i need a lift or tighten the bag but they will still look saggy even if i get a bigger size. Im sad i need advise i didnt expect a lift so soon i have motiva overs 400c please suggest.

Hi, i am sorry to hear you have been having problems with your implants.  This is a difficult problem as you have quite an enlongated and soft ('ptotic') breast to start with and i think this is the reason that the implant moves around inside the breast.  Clearly your breast is a bit stretchy and the implant has encouraged it to stretch even more.  
This is always a difficult problem for surgeons and patients as the initial solution is to uplift and and enlarge the breast.  uplifting is more complex and expensive than an implant only and it leaves scars on the breast.  Uplift and implant can be done as a 2 stage or a single stage operation.  doing uplift and enlargement at the same time is more convenient and may be cheaper but the outcome is less predictable because it is a compromise (you can't lift the breast quite as much as you might want because you have to leave space for the implant; you can't put in an implant as big as you might like because you have to be sure of doing the uplift) and maybe 25% of patients will need some follow-up surgery.
as things stand, i think the solution would be to do an uplift; it may be possible to retain the implants you currently have but if you have had trouble with teardrop implants flipping, converting to a round implant could be an alternative.  With the stretchiness of your breast tissue, there is still hard to predict the long term outcome of any surgery.

Sorry to hear about the trouble  you had but I think the implant may make the breast bigger but it did not correct the degree of droopiness you had. I do think that you will need breast lift in order to improve the shape and I wonder whether your implant will be better under the muscle.
