Question

I’ve had my current implants for almost 19 years and I’d rather redo them now before something happens. I’ve been debating whether I want to switch them from under the muscle to over the muscle due to breast distortion when flexing. This is probably to much information (TMI) but I hate when they move and distort while having sex especially when we are in positions where I have to use my arms strength to hold myself up. I have quite a bit of natural breast tissue.

You have what is called animation deformity. It is caused by dual plane placement of your implants because that procedure detaches part of the pectoral muscle. It can be corrected by placing the implants above the muscle but the muscle must be re-attached. Another option is conversion to the split muscle plane, which re-attaches the put of the muscle that was cut but leaves some muscle over the upper part of the implant for coverage.

Most would offer a plane change to subfascial/subglandular if the animation is bothersome. The implant should be camouflaged by your breast tissue. Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss all of the options. Best of luck!
