Thanks Kamila1 for your question! It is completely understandable to feel anxious after finding out you are pregnant so shortly after a procedure. Finding out you've had Botox while in the early stages of pregnancy is a relatively common situation, as many women are not yet aware they are expecting when they attend their appointments. Botox is injected directly into the muscle in very small amounts. Research suggests that it typically remains at the injection site and does not enter the bloodstream in significant quantities, which means it is unlikely to cross the placenta to reach the developing fetus. While Botox should be avoided during pregnancy as a precaution, accidental exposure at five weeks is generally not considered a reason for high clinical alarm. Notify Your OB-GYN and Inform your healthcare provider during your first prenatal visit about the date of the injection and the dosage if you know it. Hope this was helpful! Best wishes, Dr Ali Sajjadian
