Bioconvex implant... The largest projection?

Biconvex implants are nice, but intramuscular placement of an implant that size is very prone to causing problems.In selected cases the rigid edges of the wide biconvex implants can cause muscle atrophy and increased visibility. This does not necessarily happen , but it is a known risk. It really depends on you muscle size, buttock implants are a very anatomy dependent operation.

Thank you for your question.  The implant you desire is not available in the United States (it says you are from London, Texas).  There are multiple companies that make FDA approved solid silicone implants that can be used in buttock augmentation, giving you and your surgeon multiple options to select the one with the size and projection you desire.  Sometimes your body size limits the size of the implant that may be placed.It is often difficult to predict the exact postoperative size and shape of buttock implants (in breast augmentation there is pretty good computer simulation software, but I haven't seen anything reliable in the buttocks).I recommend visiting with a well-trained plastic surgeon who performs buttock augmentation frequently to have a consultation and select a size that is appropriate for you.

 Any gluteal/buttock implant shape (round, oval, Stanton symmetric ovoid, or this "biconvex") can all be designed and manufactured to any desired thickness and thus projection. The key is, what is the reasonable and maximum thickness that will effectively and safely fit in a particular patient. Probably less than 1% of board certified plastic surgeons in the USA perform buttock implants on a regular basis (i.e. at least one per week) and know the pertinent idiosyncrasies of the operation. Hence, consulting with only a buttock implant specialist is highly recommended. Additionally, silicone gel implants for the buttock are not FDA approved and therefore not legal in the USA. So unless you're considering to travel to another country such as Brazil or France to have your surgery, "biconvex" gluteal implants are not even possible in the USA.
