Hello I have read lots of questions about how long butt implants last etc, and I know that a well placed solid silicone butt implant should never have to be changed. But I am struggling to find reviews or photos of butt implant results more than 3 years post op. Do any doctors/surgeons here have photographs of patients 5, 10 or more years post operatively? I really want to see how the age not just read about how people say they 'should' age. Thank you, I look forward to seeing your responses
Answer: Longevity of buttock implants? There are two ways to answer your question. On one hand, the longevity of buttock implants is "permanent" because the implant is a soft semi-solid silicone rubber implant and therefore cannot leak or rupture unlike silicone gel breast implants. Once the procedures is done without complication, the implant will last forever and essentially outlast the patient. On the other hand how does the result/appearance last over time? It is very difficult to get patients back in for follow-up beyond six months much less one year. I have had patients come back in for surgery up to about five years later with the implant still in the proper position. Additionally I've been doing this procedure for over 15 years now, one typically assumes no news is good news when hundreds of patients have not called to complain about a complication or come back in for evaluation of the potential complication beyond 5 - 10 years post-op. Answer: Buttock implants NYC Your buttock implants shouldn't have to be changed and should last forever since they are solid. The results of your buttock implants can last forever but depend on each patient. in this way it is unpredictable.

Answer: Butt implants longevity Dear madam, I believe that you meant how long do the butt implants results last, because , butt implants in the US , unlike breasts implants , are solid and last , theoretically, forever. (in South America silicone gel implants are used too ). I have been doing butt implants surgery for over 16 years and so far , none of the implants broke off. It is difficult to show very long term results, because , in my practice the follow up lasts for 1 year. After 1 year, it is rare to see patients come back unless they have a problem or they return for additional surgery. I have few patients who had butt implants surgery 2-3 years ago and when they came back for different surgery, I took pictures of their butt. If you contact my office, I'll send you a 3-4 years old before and after picture of butt implants surgery. Always, consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who do lots of butt implants surgery in accredited surgery center. Check the before and after pictures in the photo gallery, to make sure that they are numerous, consistent , attractive and natural looking. Answer: Buttock implants Buttock implants are permanent. Since they are in a solid like form, they will not leak. They will last unless there are complications like infection.

I have seen only 1 broken implant and 1 infected implant pocket that required implant removal. In that BBL has become more common, we are typically using implants in patients who do not have sufficient fat for autologous transfer buttock augmentation. Good luck!
