Would I benefit from a genioplasty or submentoplasty? (photos)

The easiest way to determine your preferred appearance and with it the procedure that could deliver it would be to use a 3D photograph and computer simulation.The alternatives would be to contour the area under the chin either with liposuction which produces a moderate change or and anterior neck lift which produces more significant change but also leaves a scar under the chin.Chin augmentation can also be evaluated with the 3D photograph and simulation and may be of help.When the volume under the chin is reduced, the reduced girth of the neck increases the chin to neck distance and creates the impression that the chin is more prominent.

It does appear that your neck appears to begin more anteriorly.  This can be helped by lengthening her chin which would give you more horizontal length on your under chin area.  This will make her neck appear less forward and your horizontal portion of your chin longer.  He may also benefit from submental and neck liposuction if there are excess fat in this area which would also help better define your jawline and improve your profile.  An easy way to see whether you would benefit from either a chin implant or sliding genioplasty would be to do fillers in the chin.  Although this is temporary, you can see the changes you might obtain from surgery.  If you do not like the results, the fillers can also be dissolved or you can wait until it goes away on its own.

You do appear to have some recession of your chin, and this could be augmented with injectable fillers, a surgically placed chin implant or a sliding genioplasty.  Augmenting an under projected chin can provide more balance to the face.
