I have a breast lift and implants on the 7th of Jan no issues during or after surgery until this point I see my surgeon on the 18th April but worried that the stitches that haven't dissolved are going infected they have started getting rather red looking and a bit painful

Answer: Breast lift question Thank you for your question. It is impossible to know for certain without an in person examination, but it does look like you have deeper sutures that are being "spit out". Typically, the deeper layers of the breast and skin are closed with sutures that dissolve over time. Your body has a natural inflammatory response to the presence of these sutures. This is commonly what is going on when you see small amounts for redness and possible small suture abscesses following surgery. Often these will resolve on their own or your doctor may remove the responsible suture to speed the healing process. It's always best to call your surgeon and discuss this with them without delay. Good luck!
