Hello everyone.I am a student pursuing medicine and I wanted to get rid of the excess abdominal fat for several years now .I have gone to 3 consultations so far , some doctors say I am a candidate for liposuction but I will have loose skin while others say I am a candidate for tummy tuck .I don’t want a tummy tuck because Of it being a highly invasive surgery and not fitting in with my schedule .Ive done research and I’ve discovered that high def Vaser Liposuction with Renuvion can help .
Answer: Vaser Liposuction and Renuvion Thank you for your question and picture. You would need an examination to see whether just Vaser and Renuvion would be needed or a tummy tuck would be advised first. The Vaser and Renuvion does encourage the skin to shrink but by how much will be unknown as is dependant on skin quality and laxity. VASERlipo™ is an advanced body sculpting procedure that eliminates fat to reshape and contour your body to give you that athletic look, making you look and feel your best. Using targeted ultrasound technology to liquefy and then very precisely remove fat from targeted areas to help reshape your body with minimal downtime and permanent results, all performed under local anaesthesia. Whereas traditional liposuction is less targeted and unsophisticated in that fat is not equally removed resulting in dimples and uneven appearance. This treatment only targets fat cells, causing significantly less damage to other tissues, resulting in less pain, bruising and recovery time and is suitable for both men and women that want to achieve a more refined shape using a less invasive surgical procedure. It is also suitable for those who may not be overweight and already have a lean figure but require localised fat removal from a specific area to achieve a defined body (ripped or shredded look). VASERlipo™ can sculpt and shape multiple areas in a single procedure, including the ‘hard to reach’ areas of the body. Please do have a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. Answer: VASER HI DEF 4D LIPO / 360 Degree Sculpture / Body Contouring / HD Sculpting With Fat Transfer and Tummy Tuck For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction, which can be performed at the same time as a tummy tuck, depending on skin laxity. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF/J Plasma/Renuvion/InMode BodyTite and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: VASER Liposuction Liposuction without a tummy tuck would leave you with skin redundancy and the abdomen would have irregularities. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a VASER specialist will help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee

Answer: Liposuction with skin tightening options what people need at your stage is an accurate assessment followed by treatment options that address the primary and secondary diagnoses. Other terms are sometimes use an aesthetic's but coming from a medical perspective aesthetic medicine is not all that different. Understanding the fundamental problem as a primary diagnosis followed by potential secondary diagnoses is key to prescribing the correct procedure. When there is confusion as to what is the best procedure it primarily stems from a misunderstanding or misrepresentation of the primary diagnosis and its relationship to potential secondary diagnoses. Abdominal skin laxity is generally only seen after pregnancies or significant weight loss. There are individuals who skin simply loosest elasticity over time but this is generally seen in people older than yourself. There is really no highly effective non-surgical skin tightening option. Renuvion it's better than not using it but it's not a substitute for a tummy tuck. If you're planning on having children in the future that a tummy tuck may not be appropriate at this time regardless if your schedule can accommodate or not. For women who have not had pregnancies but have skin laxity from weight changes hey skin only time he talk is often much more appropriate and all that's needed. Muscle separation really only comes from pregnancies. It's rare that even after massive weight loss people have true muscle separation. The challenges in the recovery from a tummy tuck primarily comes from muscle tightening. As skin only Tommy tag has an easy recovery where people can go back to normal activity within a couple of days. Not different than liposuction. The one caveat is that drains are still needed and these can stay in it for up to 10 days or sometimes longer. The decision of what procedure to have should be based on what you're trying to achieve and what you're willing to undergo. If you want a tight flat abdomen with tights again you're going to have to have a tummy tuck, if you've not had previous pregnancies I would highly recommend a skin only time we talk. If you want a tight flat abdomen with tight skin you're going to have to have a tummy tuck, if you've not had previous pregnancies I would highly recommend a skin only tummy tuck. This is also more appropriate if you plan on having children in the future. I recognize that so far I've only addressed what you're not interested in. It's simply important to understand what the correct procedure is and the implications of choosing an alternate procedure. The use of ultrasound assistance or VASER it's simply another tool in the toolbox. It's not necessarily better it's simply a different way of doing liposuction. It can potentially remove aggressive amounts of fat to the point of leaving people disfigured and causing medical complications with skin injuries and fluid buildup is referred to as seromas. These are fairly unlikely especially in the hands of someone who has true talents and experience. The next is probably the most important point I can stress. The importance of choosing the best plastic surgeon for this procedure cannot be over emphasized. Liposuction has by far the greatest variance and outcomes of any surgical procedure I've ever seen. I've seen botched versions of every cosmetic procedure but liposuction it takes the cake and the difference of outcomes based on who does the procedure. Everything from grotesque irreparable disfigurement to beautiful body transformations Everything from grotesque irreparable disfigurement to beautiful body transformations. These differences in outcomes are purely related to who These differences in outcomes are purely related to who does the procedure. Liposuction is perhaps the easiest procedure to do an all plastic surgeons are trained and perform it to some degree. That said it is in my opinion perhaps one of the most difficult procedures to master and do well. To give reference to my statement I should tell you that I'm a 56-year-old board-certified plastic surgeon who spent the last 10 years exclusively focusing on liposuction and fat transfer procedures only. I rarely perform any other plastic surgery procedures and I've performed over 7000 liposuction and fat transfer procedures in my career. I'm not telling this to brag about my credentials but rather to tell you that my results from liposuction 10 years ago compared to where they are now are vastly different. After doing general plastic surgery for 15 years I thought I was good at liposuction. When I look back at those results compared to where I am now it's night and day. My results 15 years ago we're not particularly impressive but I believe they were average among the plastic surgeons. In other words the average plastic surgeon only does mediocre liposuction work. There are a handful of plastic surgeons who are true experts at liposuction. Many of us have worked at specialty clinics or have chosen to focus in on this procedure. It is rare that a board-certified plastic surgeon that uses this as their specialty. There are many more board-certified plastic surgeon is the focus exclusively on facelift or rhinoplasties but rarely liposuction. More than anything else the most important decision is to find the most talented board-certified plastic surgeon who has the most experience, aesthetic judgment and an ethical approach to medicine. If you find such a provider they will honestly explain the limitations, give your options and let you choose the procedure that seems best for you. I would not choose the surgeon based on the equipment to use other than Renuvion is better than not having Renuvion. That said, personally I would rather skip this treatment and be in the hands of someone with more talents and experience. Liposuction is going to be the primary treatment option. The radio frequency adds some benefit but it's not nearly as important as who does the procedure. If you skip the tummy tuck then you must except some skin laxity of your lower abdomen as the outcome regardless of what equipment is used. Good luck with your studies. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: Candidacy for vaser liposuction? Hi and welcome to our forum! Liposuction involves removal of fat through small pipes (cannulas) placed under the skin under extreme vacuum after pretreatment with an infusion of solution containing a blood vessel constrictor (to prevent bleeding) and an anesthetic (if performed awake). Augmented liposuction utilizes laser energy or ultrasonic energy to semiliquify the fat, making it easier to remove and adds a subtle skin tightening effect.. Liposuction is a safe procedure. It is a reshaping procedure and not a weight loss procedure. In general, the experience of the surgeon is more important than the type of instrument utilized. I recommend you visit a plastic surgeon with considerable liposuction experience and allow him / her to use the instrument with which he / she feels most comfortable. Best wishes...
