What Will a Second Liposonix Treatment 3 Months After the First Do?

I could initially pinch about 1.5 inches of fat on my belly for my first Liposonix treatment. It's now been 3 months and I can pinch only about an inch. If I pay for and get a second treatment using the same power settings and passes and area (everything the same), will I DEFINITELY loose the same amount of fat as the first time? If not, why not? Are there any studies done confirming that multiple treatments multiply your results?

During the Liposonix treatment, fat cells are
dissolved; the cell remnants are absorbed through the body’s natural metabolic
pathways within the subsequent weeks. Because adults do not produce new fat
cells, what has been removed cannot come back. Generally, patients see
results 8 to 12 weeks after the Liposonix treatment.Some patients have reported seeing
improvements even after the initial 12 week period.You
certainly can have a second treatment but you should consult with your doctor
to determine what results you can expect. Alternatively, you can also inquire about CoolSculpting, another, non-invasive
treatment option to lose fat cell and contour your body.

Because the results from Liposonix depend ultimately on the body's response to the treatment, there is inherent variability. Also, there is little data to go on for predicting response to a second treatment but if you can pinch an inch then it would be worth a try.

If you can
pinch an inch then you are an appropriate candidate for Liposonix.

Liposonix
uses High Intensity Focused Ultrasound to destruct the fat; you can lose
approximately 1 inch in 1 hour with 1 treatment. Liposonix does not however
yield immediate results. The body has to naturally remove the treated fat, this
generally takes 8-12 weeks to be completed.

It is
difficult to say whether or not you will get similar results with a 2nd
treatment, but theoretically you should if you maintain a healthy diet and
lifestyle. Liposonix end results are dependent on what you do after your
treatment.

We are born
with a certain number of fat cells; the cells that are destructed by a Liposonix
treatment are permanently removed by your body. That being said you can expand
the size of your remaining fat cells if you do not maintain a healthy diet and
exercise program. I have seen patients treat an area and forego healthy diet
and exercise, their results were not as successful.

treatment, a contour in your body. Consult with your doctor to find out if you

There are never definitely's in medicine, to put it simply
the body is just too complicated. But here are a
few thoughts. It’s only been three months, you might even lose more from your first
treatment by waiting at least another two months. Our patients have shown additional results with a second step treatment,
but it’s never a promise. Don’t forget
these treatments are not weight loss. It is very hard to do, but a little bit
of weight loss the old fashioned way goes a long way to help your result with
either CoolSculpting or Liposonix.
