Lip Suspension, No-scar Lip Lift in Los Angeles

Question

I've wanted a subnasal bullhorn lip lift but can't stand the idea of the scar and long healing time. I stumbled on "lip suspension." No scars, the before and after pics look great, and the recovery time seems minimal. I'm wondering why this procedure seems so obscure? Why is there limited information on the web about it? And I'd love to know if there's a Dr. in Los Angeles who has experience with this procedure and what the ballpark cost might be? Thanks so much!

Thank you for your question. The Lip Lift procedure is performed to accentuate the size and/or shape of the upper lip by removing skin from the region underneath the nose. As the distance is decreased between the nose and the lip, the red lip is 'lifted'. In appropriate individuals, shortening this distance may impart or restore a more favorable balance to lips and face. It sounds palatable to be able to experience the benefits of a lip lift without the need for an incision. However, in practice, reliance upon suspension sutures in place of an incision and skin removal compromises the predictability and longevity of lip lift results. Consequently, most experienced lip lift surgeons do not recommend suspension techniques for this procedure.
