Lip Lift Question - How long before you can stretch your mouth open fully?

I want to get a lip ilft, but I have braces where I must open my mouth as wide as possible at each of my appts. I heard opening your mouth very wide is bad for lip lift recovery (tho I don't understand this, since you're not pulling downward, but upward), and I want to know how long I must wait before I can go to the ortho and open my mouth as wide as I can? Also, how soon until I can perform oral sex? I"m more worried about this movement as the sunctioning pulls on the lip.
