Lip lift at age 18 - am I too young?

Thank you for your question. My answer regarding age for cosmetic surgery usually involves when the patient is done growing. For women, usually by 18 there will be few changes to the face as far as growth goes. Lip lift candidacy is based on the length of the upper lip, which is a combination of age and genetics. If your upper lip is elongated, then you'd be a candidate. Scarring is certainly the main risk, and typically younger patients will have a more visible scar due to having thicker skin. But it typically hides well, and yes you are correct that there are adjuncts that could be used to soften it should excess scarring occur. I hope that's helpful, and I wish you all the best.

Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs. However, a lip lift can be done, there can be scarring and there are no guarantees for the outcome. I would need more information to give you a more accurate answer.
