I am in my early 40's and I'm looking for a facial skin tightening procedure mostly for the jowl area-that may also provide a little lift. I'm wondering what the best option is as I wait a couple years for a facelift. I have looked at Sylfirm and Neo Gen plasma. I am hesitant about Threads since I have seen so many mixed reviews. Any opinions?

Putting aside the fancy names for the various energy-based devices and the heavy skinfluencer hype for them on Drs. Instagram, YouTube & Google, you might be surprised to learn that these expensive "bells and whistles" devices are far more backed by marketing and sales hype than any hard science. A profile view would have been helpful to better evaluate the midface and jawline regions. However, at least from the photo provided, the use of an appropriately robust HA volumiizing filler properly injected would not only provide the lift desired, but would also straighten and define the jawline (and, naturally, address the the jowls). You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist injector in whose hands treatment should take no more than about fifteen minutes with immediate, on-the spot results and engenderi little to no signficant downtime.
