Hello! So I turned 40 few days ago and I would like to try thread lift in my cheeks and chin. I was suggested by a surgeon to try Kybella injections to contour my jawline and thread lifts to fix the double chin and the sagging cheeks. I would like to have realistic expectations for the outcome. Dont know if my chin is too saggy for thread lifts. I attached some photos, as a reference. What do you think?
Answer: Facial Slimming — Masseter Botox, Facetite/Renuvion J Plasma, Buccal Fat Pad Removal, Fillers to sculpt the Cheek/Jawline/Chin This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry you need maxillofacial surgery or implants customized. I suggest seeing an expert to go through all options. Most of my younger clients use fillers to give them shaping especially on the cheeks, jawline, and chin which make the face look more slim and tight; and threads such as PDO or Instalift can build collagen and support the facial shaping and skin looseness over time, slowing down the aging process and given the face a more “snatched” look; and morpheus8 or PiXel8 deep microneedling RF can tighten crepe skin especially on the neck and jawline and is great for long term tightening of the full face, neck and chest; its often used to give the face a slimmer more sculpted look because it tightens the skin and gives lift. an early face lift can be performed as well even in younger clients if they want a different facial shape, maxillofacial surgery with bone breaking or shaving can also be done. For facial slimming a combination of treatments are always needed. Options include: 1. Buccal fat pad removal to reduce fat on the lower face 2. Factite or Renuvion/J Plasma to tighten the lower face, jawline, and chin to reduce fat and give the jawline and neck tightening and shaping. 3. Botox to the masseter to reduce the muscular size of the jaw giving the face an illusion of being more slender 4. Fillers to the jawline, chin, cheeks, temples and brow help to shape the face and make it more angled and defined Always use at home derma rolling (see link to Emerageskin x anteageMD roller plus stem cells/hyaluronic acid ampules) and peels like emeragecosmetics enlighten or aerify that can be used to improve skin quality and tighten the skin while improving wrinkles, pigmentation, acne, and Melasma. See an expert who does facial shaping with surgical and non surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Chin liposuction I think that you would benefit from chin and jawline liposuction. There is a doctor in Lima that performs this work. Thread lifting is not good for your case. Dr. Lucio Gamboa can help you.

Answer: Filler "Liquid" Facelifts Can Shape The Cheeks, Straighten The Angles Of Mouth; Define The Jawline & Increase Chin Projection Before jumping into threadlifting, which I gave up years ago, that can result in a number of adverse reactions, including skin dimpling, infections and thread extrusion, and before undergoing fat shrinkage injecctions that have a significant post-treatment dowtime of swelling and tenderness, you might consider investigating the use of HA fillers for accomplishing (in one treatment session of about 30-45min, if so desired) what is sometimes referred to as "a liquid facelift." An appropriate volumizing filler can help to reshape your cheeks in a masculine fashion and secondarily diminish the smile lines. Injected into the chin, an appropriate HA filler can incrrease projection of chin, which, in turn would not only serve to harmonize the projections of the chin with those of the nose and lips, but would help to better straighten the jawline in profile view. And, if still necessary, anaother HA filler can be used even better straighten and define the jawline and masculinize it. Finally, if still deemed necessary, a filler can also be used to striaghten the downturned angles of the mouth. In experienced hands, all the foregoing can be performed in one treatment session with results on the spot and typically eliciting an immediate "Wow!" response and engendering little to no significant downtime. Make sure to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist. Best of luck.

Answer: Risk/Results - Surgery 100%; Minimally invasive50% Kybella and threads will require more time for results and the results will be incomparable to those achieved through surgery. When it comes to getting a "snatched" neck/under-chin area surgery would be the way to go as the results will be better and will be able to be maintained.
