Question

I was turned down by 2 surgeons for buccal fat removal would PDO threads help contour my chubby cheeks?? What advice can I be given? Anything is helpful! Thank you!!

Based on these photos and short of in person evaluation, it would be hard to conclude that your cheeks are chubby? Possible selective liposuction of jowls and jawline. Threads would be the worst solution, try to avoid it. Good luck.

Hi @Blahblah1313! PDO threads are great for lifting desired facial anatomy for structural changes and to promote collagen and myofibroblast stimulation improving skin texture and health. You would benefit from PDO threads in the midface and jowl area. PDO threads typically last up to 1 year. I hope this was helpful!

Thanks for sharing your photos and your inquiry. PDO Threadlift in the right hands are helpful in minimally invasive “non-surgical” facelifting. It is an option for those desiring no surgical incisions, minimal skin redundancy and sagging facial features. Your photos appear to show the beginnings of laxity mostly in the subcutaneous (under the skin) tissues. Barbed suture suspension or “threadlift” is an ideal way to lift the jowl up to the cheeks, contour the jawline with lifting, defining the jaw / neck line and elevating the brows.  You may consider micro-lipo-contouring of the jowls and neck and fat transfer to the upper cheek to further rejuvenate an aging youthful appearance. Great posted photos! Seems you desire a temporary fix for the chubby aging cheeks? Threading is only good for few months at best... Plus the cost benefit ratios are not good.
