Hi there, I am a 43-year-old woman. I have taken pretty good care of my skin but I'm starting to see some sagging of the jowls–esp. on my right side. I'm wondering if I would be a good candidate for either of these procedures and why.
Answer: Think Filler Facelift, Rather Than "Bells & Whistles" Energy-Based Devices Or Threadlifting RF devices, much like fraxel laser devices are relatively expensive "bells and whistles" whose claims to being the "next big thing" are predicated far more on marketing hype than hard science. So, a healthy dose of "buyer beware" is in order when doing your research on these. As to threadlifts, I gave up on these years ago. They are expensive, minimally invasive, engender real post-treatment downtime and are fraught with all kinds of potential complications, such as skin dimpling, infection, extrusion of the threads, etc. So, again, buyer beware. On the other hand, the use of an appropriately robust HA filler can both recontour the cheeks, if necessary to create a more feminine, heart-shaped appearance, as well as to better define and straighten jowls along the jawline. And what's more, the results of fillers are immediate, typically elicit an immediate "Wow!" reaction, and engender little to no significant post-treatment downtime. Just make sure to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist and best of luck.

Answer: Threadlift PDO Threads are the type of threads which are FDA approved and manufactured in S. Korea. Where they do a great deal of cosmetic procedures. PDO Threads are ideal for moderate laxity of the jawline, jowls, to up lift the cheeks and support the neck. The procedure is performed using local anesthesia in the office. The threads are absorbed and stimulate you own collagen to support the lifted structures. PDO Threads are a amazing way to rejuvenate the face, neck, brows, knees and abdomen without surgery. Often additional fillers are used after the PDO Threads, in a few weeks, to finish the sculpting of the face. Jeffrey Rosenhal, M.D. artofplasticsurgery.com

Answer: Candidate for threadlift Hello, Thanks for the question and photo. For being sure if you are a candidate for a procedure you need to go for a physical exam and a complete evaluation, including your medical record and health condition. I would recommend to you PDO threads treatment, for long-lasting results and to give firmness to your cheeks. The results can be amazing! Good luck

Answer: Jowling... The procedures you mentioned can make an improvement if you are not ready for surgery yet. The best result would come with a minifacelift. But threads inserted along the jawline can give a nice result for the time being. Be sure to see a facial specialist for consultation.
