Accutane and Ketogenic eating lifestyle?

I am currently on accutane and have noticed the keto "diet" has helped my PCOS/ hypothyroidism and would like to continue keto while on the round of accutane but my dermatologist has instructed me to come off leto bc of the strain it puts on the liver but I would like some more opinions on this. Thank you!

This is hard to answer without knowing more specifics and being your doctor. But in general, Accutane is best absorbed with higher fats and proteins, so as long as your body is not running in ketoacidosis and showing your liver and kidneys are already working in overdrive, then I wouldn't necessarily have an issue with the diet. Your doctor(s) need to discuss this more with you. A general consensus isn't going to work well here because we don't know all your history and levels.
