Why does my chin stick out so much? (Photo)

Question

My chin sticks out alot. It is not noticeable from the front but it is from the side. Why is my chin like this? Is it something wrong with my bone structure? The picture is not of me but of someone else who also has this since I cannot upload a picture. Thats exactly what my chin looks like. Is this normal? How can I fix it?

Thank you for the picture. If this picture is representative of your chin more likely you have excess bone. A sliding in reduction genioplasty could be beneficial. I recommend that you seek consultation from a board certified plastic surgeon with oral surgery experience more or a board certified oral surgeon

This degree of chin protrusion is a combination of excess bone AND soft tissue. Your chin reduction should be from a submental approach where the both the excess bone and soft tissue can be removed. Any intraoral chin reduction approach will not deal with the excess soft tissue chin pad which will make for a very disappointing result.
