Screws and metal plate after chin advancement (genioplasty). Should I take them out ? (photos)

Thank you for your pictures.  Your result still looks good.  I would not remove your plates/screws.  There removal will not correct the mental crease (normal structure).

It would be great to evaluate this clinically and take xrays. Most likely root canals have nothing to do with this.  Sometimes, plates cause deformity in the chin area.
