thank you for your question. IPL treatment treats red vessels, hyperpigmentation and it improves the texture of your skin by producing collagen and elastin. you will pepper after the treatment and the dark spots will appear darker before they flake off. do not be alarmed. This takes 2-4 days depending on your skin type and the intensity of the treatment.Always consult with a physician to make sure you are a good candidate
Hyperpigmentation can ruin your skin and can be caused by either PIH (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation), melasma, age or sun spots, and chronic inflammation. Starting treatment is easy with topical creams; followed by laser and light therapy. I would use a combination skincare protocol that includes topical Melarase creams first, followed by a combination of light fractional laser, depigmenting lasers and IPL, vascular pulsed dye laser, and Covalent peels. These can be improved with a combination of lasers (ProYellow, Excel V, Vbeam) and microneedling/prp. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
The GentleMax Pro system delivers an effective and minimally invasive laser treatment to eradicate unsightly Age spots that develop on the skin over the years. In this case, the laser targets the discolored pigment in the skin (whether it’s on the face, the scalp, the hands, or anywhere else), causing it to break down and fade away.
Greetings from the Sunshine State! We see many patients with pigmentation issues usually as a result of exposure to the sun. The first thing I will tell you is to get a formal consultation with a doctor to determine if you have sun spots, Melasma or both. These conditions require different treatments. With Melasma topical options like skin lightening or bleaching creams may work. When they don't lasers can be effective. For sun/age spots, we have had great success with our IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Photo Facial. Most patients require 3 treatments for optimal results but see good improvement after one. This 30 minute laser treatment gives our patients a great non-invasive solution with no downtime and very little, if any, discomfort. By using IPL we are able to attack the darker pigmented cells with the precise wavelength to target that darker pigment, which causes the spots to break up, rise to the surface and then gently flake off within a few days. Remember, sunscreen is your best friend!
There are a variety of ways to treat age spots or any skin discoloration. Chemical peels are a great option and there are many different strengths/types of peels to look into. Laser treatments can also target pigmentation issues. I would suggest seeking a local Dermatologist for an in person evaluation to properly assess your areas of concern.
Hello,Thank you for the inquiry. You would need an in person evaluation to truly discuss the source of the red spots however I am happy to review a few things. Irregularities of the facial skin that are red in nature can often be associated with vascular structures like small broken capillaries or blood vessels. Some people have a skin condition called rosacea which can cause a flushed appearance to the cheeks and facial skin as well. Some people have both. There are also a multitude of lesions that resemble moles or growths but are red like angiomas, hemangiomas, etc. The source of the redness plays an important role in identifying the best treatment option. I will say however that for red irregularities the Vbeam, pulsed dye laser, is an exceptional option that can often yield some instant gratification in resolving redness. Often times you may require more than one treatment because the redness may return but ultimately this is one of the best options.I hope that helps.
Thank you for your photo. We offer a variety of treatments including Alexandrite laser, Fractional CO2 and Endymed Intensif for aging skin with brown spots. I recommend getting a in person consultation with a board-certified dermatologist.
