My neck basically connects to my chin even if i am at a lower weight, its especially visible when i relax my tongue or smile. Im not sure what the cause of this even is and i would like to have a more defined and masculine side profile. Im not sure if liposuction is the answer since it more so feels like skin/my neck being so close to my chin

For a defined male side profile, the foundational variable is bone. Soft tissue manipulation alone can do a lot in some patients but for most men with what reads as a weak jaw, the answer involves either chin or jaw angle augmentation.
The diagnostic question is which area is short. Three patterns I see in consult:
Weak chin projection (microgenia). The chin doesn't come forward enough relative to the upper jaw and nose. Most common pattern in men asking for a stronger profile. Solution: chin implant or sliding genioplasty. Sliding genioplasty offers more dimensional control (forward, vertical, and side-to-side) but is a longer procedure. Implants are faster and adjustable in size.
Weak posterior mandible / jaw angles. The angles look softened or rounded. Solution: mandibular angle implants or in some cases sliding osteotomy. This gives the squared jaw look at the back of the mandible.
Weak chin AND angles together. Sometimes addressed with a custom 3D-printed mandibular implant that covers both areas. More expensive but gives the most cohesive result.
Soft tissue contributions to consider alongside the bone:
Submental liposuction or chin lipo if there's any fullness under the chin masking the jawline.
Masseter Botox if your masseters are heavy and creating width that competes with the jawline angle.
Filler-based augmentation is a reasonable preview if you want to test the shape before committing to implants. Hyaluronic acid filler in the chin and jawline angle lasts 12 to 18 months and reverses if you don't like it.
Best move is a consultation with a facial plastic surgeon who does both bony and soft tissue procedures so they have no incentive to oversell either route. Ask to see male profile transformations specifically.

It sounds like you're describing what we call a "blunted" cervicomental angle, where the transition from the chin to the neck is less defined due to your underlying anatomy rather than just weight. Based on your photos, the cause is likely a combination of a slightly receded chin (microgenia) and a low-set hyoid bone the "anchor" bone in your neck that determines how sharp that angle can be. While liposuction can help if there is a small pocket of submental fat, it often can't create that crisp, masculine jawline on its own if the bone structure isn't providing a strong enough "ledge." For a more definitive result, you might find that a sliding genioplasty or a chin implant would do the heavy lifting by bringing the chin forward, which naturally stretches the skin and muscles under the jaw to create a sharper profile. Combining this with a deep-neck contouring procedure to address the glands or muscles sitting below the fat layer would likely give you that more chiseled, defined look that simple weight loss or surface-level lipo hasn't been able to achieve.
