I need my nose smoothed out after a nose job and this is my drs recommendation but I'm wary as I have hashimotos and don't want my bisy to react badly.

Answer: No Systemic reactions after Silikon 1000 I have used Silikon 1000 extensively for at least the last ten years and am not aware of ANY systemic reactions and very, very few local reactions too. I believe that it is an ideal filler for someone looking for a permanent solution to a filler problem. That said, with your history of an autoimmune problem, it might be wise to avoid a permanent filler for your problem. Good luck!

Answer: I am not aware of any. I am not aware of any. One interesting fact is that Silikon-1000 should be familiar to everyone's body because all hypodermic needles used for various injections are coated with it. If a patient has any qualms about ever developing a reaction to it, we recommend a "test" whereby a tiny droplet is placed behind the ear and that area is observed for two months. Should there be any unusual reaction, it would suggest that the patient is hypersensitive and therefore should not have the filler. I have never seen a positive reaction.
