Had my hair bleached and a toner treatment used, as I do once every six weeks. My hair has fallen out in clumps. Any suggestion?

Stop bleaching your hair if your are seeing hair falling out in clumps. The harsh chemical is likely causing the hair loss.

It's a good idea to see a dermatologist. A full exam is needed. For the most part, what has been done has been done EXCEPT if there is inflammation. The whole reason for seeing a dermatologist is to evaluate if there is inflammation still remaining and if anti-inflammatory treatments would be necessary. Other treatments like minoxidil and low level laser can sometime speed things along but check with your dermatologist rather than start these on your own.Touching and washing are fine, and please don't be worried to do that. Nothing in that regard can affect your final outcome. What's the normal course or "story" for the vast majority of individuals? Well  this hair loss (in clumps as you describe) is usually temporary. The hair falls out for the next many weeks (up to 6)  and 2-4 months later starts growing in and one year later you're back to where you started. It's quite unlikely (albeit not impossible) that you'll have permanent hair loss.

Bleaching hair is both an art and a science. Bleaches can damage hair and even damage the hair roots such that hair loss can be permanent. See a good dermatologist to determine if you damaged your hair through the bleaching process.
