I advised my patients to "use their treated muscles" for the rest of the day after receiving Botox, to increase Botox penetration into the treated muscles. Therefore, I would encourage eating after Botox treatment around the mouth. This would help to "get the Botox into the muscles". This is also why we discourage people from exercising for 24 to 48 hours after receiving Botox treatment. Avoidance of exercise after Botox treatment decreases the dispersement of Botox from the treated area, making the Botox treatment more effective.
Hi, thanks for your question. You shouldn't have any issues eating after getting Botox around your mouth and lips. Do speak to your provider about any concerns you might have. They may also have their own specific post-injection guidelines.
Hello, thank you for your question. Facial treatments are very popular and the results can be spectacular when right patient and right treatments are selects. Generally speaking, it is OK to eat after injections, see a local expert injector with extensive experience and training to ensure optimal results and safety.
Hi, thanks for your question. You shouldn't have any issues eating after Botox treatment around your mouth and lips. But it's always best to check with your provider and follow his/her post treatment protocols.
Thank you for sharing your question. yes you can eat after Botox without any negative consequences.
I would see no problem with eating after a Botox treatment to the mouth and lip area. You may want to check with the physician treating you with Botox though, because your physician may have a different opinion.
You can eat after botox or filler. If you are referring to the Botox kicking in and reducing movement, you may not be able to fully purse your lips or drink from a straw.
The short answer to your question is that it would probably be best to avoid eating foods like steak that require forceful chewing and to avoid pursing your lips or sipping through straws, etc. for at least four hours afterward. I have personally been treating patients for over a quarter of century with microdroplets of Botox injected in particular locations around the mouth in order to treat the vertical so-called lipstick bleeding or bar code lines and have found the above recommendations to be successful and well tolerated.
If you have been numbed either topically or with a block after mouth and lip injections, it's best to wait until the numbing has completely worn off before you eat or you may bite your lips or tongue. Otherwise, it's safe to eat after.
At our offices we quite often inject small amounts of Botox around the mouth and lips for cosmetic outcomes. One popular treatment is something called a "lip flip" which uses less than 10 units of Botox and relaxes the top lip to give it a more full appearance. We do ask that the area not be massaged directly after treatment, but eatly carefully is not a contraindication in most cases for that treatment. Please reach out to a practitioner in your area for an in person evaluation for your specific needs. Thank you for your question.
I hope you don't mind my saying, but this is a very interesting pattern of wrinkle. While not common, this may be related to loss of volume in your cheek, more than a neuromuscular phenomenon, which would be typically treated by botox. I would suggest a consultation with assessment of static and...
11 lines cannot be improved without botox. lasers, microneedling and filler can be used to help. I would suggest peels and skincare for pigmentation as I think that is why this is much more noticeable. this is post inflammatory hyperpigmentation/melasma/discoloration that needs cosmelan or ...
Neuromodulators like Botox are sometimes used to lift the corners of the mouth to bring up the corners of the lips. It can also be placed into different muscles to "flip" the upper lip slightly. However, another option in your case might be lip fillers to address the asymmetry and add some nice...
Thanks for the question. I don’t believe the V beam laser will have any effect on your Botox injection done earlier.
We do a significant amount of brow lifting with threads, fillers and botox in combination, see link and videos. Best, Dr. Emer.
Hi, thanks for your question. Botox is a very safe treatment that has been used since the 1970s to treat a variety of symptoms and has been used cosmetically for 20 years. It will not cause any of the adverse reactions that you mention. Be sure to see an experienced injector in order to get the...
