Should I apply tape everyday for 2 weeks after cast is removed? Is steri-strip the same as regular tape?

I'm currently 7 days post op and my cast has been removed yesterday. My Dr. Informed me to apply tape morning and night on my nose for two weeks. Is this safe? And should I use steri-strip?

 Thank you for the question. From what you described it does not sound like you hurt anything. If you were already forming a pimple that stitch needed to come out and I’m sure your surgeon would have pulled it. To be on the safe side I would call your surgeon and get their advice. Good luck

At 8 days post op your nose can move.  I would not sleep on my side, yet.  This could damage the nose.  Contact your surgeon for an in person evaluation to confirm you are healing well.
