Supra alar crease uneven. (photos)

Question

Im 13 days post rhinoplasty i know its early to judge but I am concerned about my nose . As shown in the picture i realized my supra alar creases are not even . It appears i have some sort of hole on the right side . Will things get better after swollen is gone and is there a solution other than surgery ?

I see the deeper crease on your left side is deeper. It would be nice to see a pre-op picture to compare. That being said, it is still very early in your recovery, as swelling is often uneven at this time. Give yourself time for the swelling to resolve before you judge the result at this point.

Dear karine11111As you know, way too early to draw conclusions. Follow your surgeons instructions and be patient. If by chance, it persists, and that is an isolated problem, can be improved by injectables with ease.Take your time and be patient.

Hello and thank you for your question.  Thirteen days is way too early to be able to judge the result in the tip of the nose.  The swelling will come out in 3 weeks, but the tip takes a full 1 year for the remodeling process to occur.   In the meantime, the swelling will go down at different rates on both sides of the nose.  Try and be patient and see your surgeon often.  When it comes to rhinoplasty, patience is very important.  At times, if one nostril seems to be contracting more than the other (or is more swollen), I will use a nostril splint to hold its position.  Good luck and relax, swelling can make things look very distorted at times.Aaron Kosins, MD
