I got my nose done by Dr. Kosin in August 2022. Now it's April 2024, and my nose is all healed. I'm Hispanic, and I wanted to make my nostrils smaller and refine the tip a bit (it was very bulbous). My profile was already perfect, so I wasn't worried about that. I just wanted my nose to be smaller and more refined, with a bit more projection. As you can see from the picture, there's been some improvement, maybe about 40-50%. I wish there was a bit more projection and less nostril. No one really noticed I got my nose done, they just think I look better but they can't pinpoint what it is which is good. I am really really glad that I didn't get botched though. My nostrils look very even, and there are no scars. The only downside is I tend to drip a lot now, especially when I do my makeup or press on my nose, even a year and a half later. Sometimes my breathing isn't the best, but it doesn't affect my life so it's fine. My boyfriend says he does hear me breathe now at night but nothing scary. Before the surgery, my breathing was perfect. I'm grateful Dr. Kosin took me as a patient though because other doctors said I didn't need the surgery or they didn't work on thick skin. For those wondering, you start looking normal again by the second month, and you'll see the real healed results after about six months. I've seen amazing results from doctors in Turkey now, and maybe I could've done more research to get a bigger and better change in my nose since I did pay $14,000 but overall, I'm satisfied.
Dr. Kosins performed a revision rhinoplasty on me last year and I’m absolutely thrilled with my results. I highly recommend him and wish I had found him for my first surgery! After spending countless hours researching my first rhinoplasty and thinking I had found the perfect surgeon to refine the tip of my nose, I was sadly left with less than ideal results - Ugh. So, the stakes were particularly high when I hopped back online with the mission to find a surgeon who was skilled enough to fix the last surgery issues and create the nose that I had hoped for. This time around, however, within an hour I had discovered Dr. Kosins. It was his incredible body of work and not to mention countless 5* reviews, that sold me. Indeed, if you look at Dr. Kosins’ IG page what sets him apart from other surgeons is the diversity in his work. Each nose is beautifully crafted to suit each individual person. He’s a true artist and I immediately knew he was up to the challenge! During our initial consultation, Dr. Kosins asked me what my main 3 issues were and then examined me. He listened to what I wanted, but was very honest when it came to giving his point of view. He thoroughly explained what steps he would take to not only fix the prior surgeon’s mistakes, but how to deliver exactly what I had asked for. During my consultation and aftercare, I always found Dr. Kosins to be professional and yet friendly and approachable, too. Above all else, he wants his patients to be happy with their results and will go above and beyond to make that happen. The day I removed my cast, the results were astonishing. Seeing the framework he had sculpted was unbelievable. It looked better than I could have ever imagined - natural, refined, and the shape of my new nose fit my face perfectly. I’m 4 months post op and even though my nose is still slightly swollen, I’m beyond thrilled. Dr. Kosins is the Michelangelo of plastic surgery. He is an artist with a scalpel instead of a brush. His work is extraordinary! His staff are also fantastic. They are so welcoming and easy to get along with. Every time I visited the clinic for my post surgery consults, it felt like I was seeing old friends! Risa was wonderful and Judy was the best at walking me through the aftercare process. My recovery was a breeze - no bruises or major face swelling. Yay! I would absolutely recommend Dr. Kosins and his wonderful staff to any one who wants amazing Rhinoplasty results and exceptional customer service. He is the GOAT!!
Rhinoplasty is one of those life changing decisions that shouldn't be made lightly, and the prospect of finding a doctor in the sea of many can be overwhelming. I am the type of person that has to thoroughly research anything before I make a decision, and after doing years of research I finally found Dr. Kosins. I am here to assure you that if you are considering him and are reading this review, you have found the one. I lean more towards the "over worrier" side, so naturally the prospect of altering my face for the rest of my life was a scary concept for me. I had a fairly large hump with a plunging tip and narrow nostrils that made it very difficult to breathe. I wanted to make sure I found someone who could preform a beautiful, natural revision and also help me with my breathing problems. Dr. Kosins not only met my expectations but he exceeded them. He is extraordinarily kind, listened to my concerns and provided a gentle aura of confidence that soothed my anxious mind. He is genuinely a true artist of his craft, and is passionate about the work he performs. I put complete trust in him that he would be able to give me the best verison of my nose and I can confidently say that this Doctor has changed my life. I now have a beautiful nose that fits my face and most importantly I can breathe!! His office staff are all friendly and helpful. Judy was a lifesaver during my recovery period, she really takes the time to develop a personal relationship with you that is also very soothing. I genuinely have nothing negative to say about my experience, from start to finish I was treated with kindness and respect. Thank you so much for existing Dr.Kosins, and thank you for being so personable. (I will come back and update this review with photos once my nose is fully healed for anyone who is curious :). )
I've been thinking about a nose job for as far back as I can remember but never pulled the plug because I never found a surgeon whose craft I was confident in. I'd found Dr. Kosins on IG somehow and followed him for about 6 months before I decided to go ahead and schedule a consult with him. Photo after photo, his work is phenomenal. All angles. All patients. Phenomenal. During our virtual consult (pandemic) he was very honest with me. He stated that he can not make a perfect nose because he is a human and not a machine and that there would be some asymmetry just as we have naturally. However, he assured me that my nose would be better than it was. I just knew I could trust him based on all the work I'd seen him do on the hundreds of patients he posts on his IG. I booked my appointment 3/2020 for 4/2021. He's BOOKED. But my goodness.. So worth the wait! I had my surgery 4/27/21 and I'm now 10 days post op. At 10 days post op, I am in disbelief. I know I've still got a long way to go, especially having thicker skin, but so far, it looks incredible. I can't stop taking photos/videos of my nose and watching them over and over. It changes every day so far. The pain was surprisingly minimal and pretty much after day 2, I just took Tylenol. And after day 4/5, I didn't even need that. Dr. Aaron Kosins is super kind, personable, professional, and just an overall pleasant person to be around, especially as a surgeon. I just showed him some pics of noses I liked and asked him to do something that would match MY face. I knew I didn't even have to say that part but I did for my own peace of mind. Immediately out of surgery, with my permission, he posted a couple videos of my before and after and I was smitten. Additionally, I thought we were going the open approach, but he used a closed approach which I was and am ecstatic about. No scars. It's honestly better than I ever thought it could be. I hope it will continue to morph into the beautiful nose I can see it becoming. He's the real deal. These reviews are not fake or paid for or even encouraged. He is no used car salesman by any means. He loves his practice and is a master of his craft. Truly. I am so grateful for him and his staff. I will update my review as my nose begins to heal and change. Thanks, Doc. You've changed my life already. Wow.
I just had my septoplasty, rhinoplasty and brow lift on the same day a few weeks ago. I still have a lot of swelling as to be expected but even so I truly am excited to see what is to come!! It's already so cute and when he pinches it he shows me the final result and I am thrilled. My consult was great because I asked for a few things and he had a few ideas of what he thought would look the best.He said for my ethnicity, age, and face he knew what would look good on me now and how I would look in the future. To me this just says he is an artist. Some doctors will just say whatever you want to hear but he knew what was best and even after I came out of surgery my brow lift looked sooooooo good! I wanted to put on eyeshadow right then because my eyes were so open!On my way home he called to check in on me which was so sweet because we got out of surgery so late I knew he had to be hungry. I've been going to his office for a few years prior to get injections and love all of the staff from the office manager Christine to his patient coordinator Risa who helped me decide I should get the brow lift to Judy who was my angel and called me every single day to check-in.I'm so sad we don't talk every day anymore but I got to see her on my post-op to get the screws out of my head and she gave me a huge hug and told me how young I look. (The screws coming out from the brow lift did not hurt AT ALL!) I told Dr. Kosins this would be my first and last plastic surgery but if I were to ever want or need anything else he would be the only one I would ever go to.A true artist. My friend had her nose and boobs done by him and she was pretty before but stunning now and that's how I knew he was the one. I only had a headache the first few days from the brow lift and I would do it all over again. The pain and spending my money were so worth it for me. THANK YOU DR. KOSINS!
I am so glad I found Dr. Kosins and want you to know that you can trust him 100%. My story starts with a deviated septum that I wanted corrected with no aesthetic change to my nose. This was back in 2016 and the surgeon took it upon himself to dramatically reduce my nose. I was furious but got used to it until another surgeon two years later told me he could restore my nose to its original shape. When he took off the splint, my nose was totally crooked, over resected and a total mess. That surgeon then pumped me full of local anaesthetic, and manipulated my very sensitive post-op nose like it was putty. Another week with a splint and nothing had changed, so he sent me back into surgery and another week with a splint and a long pin inside my nose. So after three weeks of swelling, bruising, and solid depression, I was left with a hideous nose. I researched long and hard and eventually found Dr. Kosins to help me get at the very least, a normal-looking nose. He inspired a lot of confidence because he is so open with his results, sharing everything on instagram, and also participates in conferences and writes medical papers regularly. I appreciate that he has the humility to continuously perfect his knowledge despite his constantly amazing results. He was very honest with me about what to expect, the risks, and the plan. Post op care is amazing, with his team in regular contact to ensure everything is being done to optimise healing (three times a day for the first days!). In addition, they are all the kindest bunch of people you could wish to be looking after you. Revisions are complex technically, but also emotionally, and this is the very best team to have behind you.
Procedure tips included :) I was under the pretense that I had to "earn" my rhinoplasty procedure. "When I lose weight..." "My face might change, so I should lose weight first then I can earn it. ." I wish I had known that getting a nose job would completely alter how I felt about myself. In fact, having that mindset was the exact opposite of how things actually went. I have since been more inspired and encouraged in making the other changes. I'm constantly getting compliments about how happy I look or that I'm glowing. You can see it in my eyes in the before and after photos! Aesthetically speaking, it's improved my appearance so much, but moreover it has changed how I feel about myself. Please do not wait. Dr. Kosins... you are nothing short of a professional, kind, and mindful artist/doctor. He listened to my wants of what I was looking to achieve. He gave me everything I was hoping for: smoother, smaller, thinner, and straight. Dr. Kosins followed up with me on the evening of my surgery on his drive home. I disturbed him during his dinner on a Friday night, always getting back to me with any concerns. I'm sorry, but I do not know a single doctor that is so attentive and goes out of their way to personally check-in. Dr. K, you deserve all the (good) wine in the world. You are truly a master of your work. As for the procedure, I added a photo that shows me 6 days post-op. SIX! No swelling, no bruising. How, like how?! Dr. Kosins, that's how. Pain pills are great, but have you guys tried ice? It's pretty cool (pun intedend). Ice will be your new best friend and your greatest help. I used it continuously and became a professional pirate, watching things with one eye as I switched sides. I also tried to sleep/sit upright as much as possible. I made the Great Wall of China out of pillows and I truly believe this helped tremendously with swelling and any nasal discharge. Unless you're into immediate head tension and that's your thing, please don't pick anything up. Not even your dog poop. I tried to Matrix my way down to my phone charger cable. Just don't. After day 3, everything will be much better from there. A big great (virtual) hug and thank you to Judy. She will be your daily check-in nurse. She will be your answers, your reassurance, your explanations. Judy is helpful and comforting, an immediate boost of encouragement and relief to any concerns. Thank you for treating me equally as a friend and patient. From day one, I was only treated with professionalism and kindness. The surgery center the same... I'm certain I held and petted "Nurse Pretty Hands" as he was saving my life by spoon-feeding me ice chips post-op. I cannot thank you all enough and cherish all of you through this whole process. I am beyond grateful and please do not wait! Enjoy your gauze mustache.
Oh my gosh! If you want a natural nose - 1000% go to Dr. K. He will fix you right up. :-) He uses a special technique where he does not break your nose, he uses a tiny tool to shave it down and shape it. I have no scars and seriously no one has EVER asked me about my nose job. 100/10 you will not regret it.
Approximately 11 years ago I had my nose done by Dr Theodore golden. I was sold on the closed procedure and his website . Real self wasn't even really a thing then. Anyway it was quite a journey he took down a bump and he did moved my nasal bones. This was under twilight anesthesia so I have some memories of the procedure and to be honest it slightly traumatized me. For the past 5 years or so I've been unhappy. It took 3 years to see my primary results and it took a long time for me to accept my "new" not so improved nose. The profile is not better because it's slightly too scooped for me, my nasal bones are not symmetrical and my tip is pronounced which makes my nostrils look "stuck on". Now On top of this I cant breath well. I would say I'm at 30% breathing. Exercise and sleep are troublesome and for years I thought I was just tired for no reason until I found breath right strips! I consulted with many surgeons over the year but chickened out each time. I had two kids in between all of this. I hate taking photos with my kids because I'm reminded of the mistake I made. It's not horrible but it's definitely not an Improved from before the procedure. I consulted with Ghavami, Fleming and profiles in Beverly Hills 5 years ago. I chose not to do it because none of these surgeons felt right with me and my husband was not so supportive then. Over the years I looked at many surgeons and narrowed it down to John Hilinski and Aaron kosins. Dr hilinski is a good doctor but to be honest he said his revisions on his own revisions was 15% and that really through me. A bit more research about him using silicon 1000 has totally turned me off to him. His pricing is good but I'm not sure he is passionate about this anymore. Lastly I consulted with Dr. Kosins. I really liked him and I like his noses. His price is high and he puts potential rib graft on his plan in case he needs that cartilage. To me that's not a negative thing because I want my doctor to do everything needed. Dr Kosins is honest in saying we don't know exactly why we will find until we open the nose, optimistic but also that makes it hard for me to imagine what my face will look like!! My main hesitation comes from the feeling that I know what this entails in recovery and I have to mentally prepare myself. I know where my breathing issues stem from exactly and my nose will need to be widened some in the upper area to lift that a bit. My nose is still slightly deviated and so the will need to be corrected. And lastly my tip is unrefined. At the end of the day I have to be mentally prepared. I really like the piezo took Kosins uses!! He does have a 6 month wait which is ok but it's hard to prepare that far out when I need someone to travel with me. I do believe I have septal cartilage but if he needs to use rib I am not sure what that would feel or be like so I'm trying to gather more info!! Any advice or info here is super helpful to me also anyone who wants to dm me and talk more i would truly appreciate you!
Dr Kosins is hands-down the master. I am now just over 6 months post op and everything went as perfectly as I could have hoped. I wanted a very natural rhinoplasty to correct a plunging tip and a feeling that my nose has started looking too masculine. Dr. Kosins is so incredibly well versed on rhinoplasty (and meticulous). The work he did was absolutely perfect. My bruising and pain was completely gone within a week and because he does not break your nose (or at least not mine) the bruises were really minimal. Most people would never guess I had my nose “done” but so many ask about my skin, hair, weight since (nothing has changed there)...that I look so much younger but they never guess it is my nose. I still very much look like myself...just better. There is a reason why he lectures on his technique all over the world. He has it mastered. Thank you Dr. K!
Hello and thank you for your question. You need to see a true rhinoplasty specialist and this is very different than a Plastic Surgeon who does all surgical procedures. Do your homework and see people who specialize in nasal surgery. Your results can be perfectly explained by examining your nose and reading through the previous operative report. I do this for all my revision patients. If the doctor cannot explain what happened and how he/she is going to fix it, seek help elsewhere.Good luck,Aaron Kosins, MD Plastic & Rhinoplasty Surgeon
You need to wait at least 1 year for the tissues to soften. If you reoperate on the tip at 6 months it will not go well. See an experienced rhinoplasty specialist and you will always get the same answer. In some patients I wait even longer than a year.Good luck,Aaron Kosins, MD Plastic & Rhinoplasty Surgeon
You need to give your nose at least 1 year to heal after your last surgery. Visit several very experienced rhinoplasty specialists...this is different from a Plastic Surgeon. The surgeon should specialize in nasal surgery. The success of your surgery will completely depend on the skill of your surgeon.Good luck,Aaron Kosins, MD Plastic & Rhinoplasty Surgeon
Hello and thank you for your question. Make sure to see your surgeon because this is more likely an allergic reaction to the tape and cast, not an infection. You may need topical steroids although it can be mistaken for infection. See your surgeon right away.Good luck,Aaron Kosins, MD Plastic & Rhinoplasty Surgeon
Hello and sorry to hear about your experience. You need a rhinoplasty specialist who can rebuild and strengthen your nose. Since you live in the UK, I would recommend seeing Dr. Charles East. He is a true nasal specialist and a fantastic surgeon.Good luck,Aaron Kosins, MD Plastic & Rhinoplasty Surgeon
