Considering getting a Mini Tummy Tuck doing a Pain Study. I have 2 year old twins. What is the worst that could happen? (Photo)

If you are participating in a clinical trial, it should be designed in a way that compares the new method to existing standard of care for pain, not placebo only. For mini tummy tucks, a medication called Exparel is very effective at providing pain reduction, and a method of placement called a TAP block works especially well.

Thank you for your question. Based on the photos provided, it appears you are a good candidate for a mini tummy tuck. The lower abdominal skin excision and muscle tightening will give you an excellent contour as well as improve the tone of the anterior abdominal wall. However, there are risks associated with any surgical procedure. I usually restrict heavy lifting ( >10 pounds) for 6 weeks following the procedure. Please see a board certified plastic surgeon for an in-person examination and to discuss the specific details of the procedure.
