What type of procedure can fix my asymmetrical mouth/smile? (Photo)

Hi, I'm insecure about the shape of my mouth but I'm not sure what type of procedure can be done in my case. I look in the mirror and I don't look that bad but in a camera my smile looks completely different than in the mirror. But even in the mirror I still notice it. My bottom jaw seems a tilted to one side and the corners of my mouth seem to be at different levels. One side is higher than the other. Even my lips look a bit asymmetrical but I'm wondering if it's because of my jaw line.

Chrissfirst of all, you must understand that everybody has some asymmetry in their face. Goldie Hawn has a grossly crooked but adorable smile, didn't hurt her career! If it bothers you, a combination of fillers and possibly micro-liposuction of the jawline may help. Seek out a board certified plastic surgeon, good luck

Some people do have mouth corner asymmetry that becomes magnified when smiling. You can see that the pull on your corner is different when smiling although it does also exist at non-smiling to a more minor degree. This is reflective of the vermilion position and the shape of the corner of the mouth. A small corner of the mouth lift may be effective in your case which is just a minor procedure that changes the location/angle of the corner of the mouth.

It's hard to get things symmetrical when the problem is mainly with movement. It can be improved with dermal filler in the lips. Don't expect perfection though. Probably Restylane is best for this because of it structural support.
