I have been using Latisse for almost 5 weeks now, and I see floating lines in my right eye. Is this due to Latisse?

In the last few days I have experienced (RT eye only), I see 'several lines floating' in my eye as if there is a foreign object. I move my eye and the lines move around as well. Could this be caused by Latisse and should I discontinue usage. I live in Canada but am currently in China for another 2 weeks. Should I be checked here or wait until I return home. It is not painful however these 'threads' are constantly present. I seem to rub my eye quite often. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

If you are experiencing eye irritation, discontinue use of Latisse. Flush eye with water or normal saline daily and schedule an appointment with an ocular specialist. Try not to rub your eye as this will cause more irritation. Keeping the eye closed can help to flush out any foreign objects. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your question. I have not heard of floating lines as being a side effect of using Latisse. The product should not be getting in your eye, it should be applied to the upper lash line only. I have seen no reported side effects that this would be from the use of Latisse. Floaters are usually due to something in the cornea, or a scratch on the eye itself. Latisse should not be going in your eyes anyway. You can discontinue the use of it if you'd like, but more than that I think you need to be seen by an ocular specialist to determine what is causing these floaters, particularly since it's only in one eye!
