I read your concerns and reviewed your photo. A mucocele usually presents as a bulge in the lower lip as a result of a blocked minor salivary gland. These may be managed by drainage, marsupialization, or excision. When a mucocele is excised, this may result in a localized loss of lip volume.

You may consider consulting a reputable facial plastic surgeon to see if an injectable filler might be right for you. My personal preference and experience is with Silikon-1000, an off-label filler for permanent results.

It is not uncommon to have some asymmetry following excision of a lip cyst. However, this does tend to improve with time as the scar matures. The exception would be following removal of a large cyst or a procedure during which excessive tissue was removed. Juvederm or a comparable lip filer can be used to temporarily fill in the depression. However, one month is still very early in the healing process and you should consider allowing yourself to heal for at least another 2-3 months before considering any filler treatments.
