Hi In Novembery top lip only got fillers, I was in extreme agonising pain when the injection happened to the point of screaming and crying. She injected my lip about 6 times! It became extremely swollen and to the left side purple/black from bruising! I developed bruises and blister like bumps but 8 months on and still there not to mention the bumps in my lip!im really scared of what it could be and I think people are disgusted when they look at my lip! Help!!! I don't know what she injected! All my Friends Have Done It with Same Dr and Theyre Fine?

You have a complication of lip augmentation. You must find out which product was used before you can get this corrected. Follow up with your surgeon or get your records and obtain a second opinion. Most likely it can be corrected so don't worry.

The only way to correct the current problem with lumps is using Hylenex. It might rake a few treatments to dissolve the filler. Infection would present with more swelling, redness, and tenderness.

Dear Somarose,

	thank you for your post.  This does not appear to be an infection, but very superficial filler product, vs. granuloma.  This can be fixed, but you need to find out what specifically was injected, and follow up with a board certified plastic surgeon. Also, a dental block (which I do on all my lip augmentation patients) will numb the lip and be a pain free augmentation.

If you were injected by a reputable physician records should be available to find out what product was used. You can request your records and then get a second opinion. If you were injected with Juvederm or Restylane this can be melted with Wydase.
