I had a bbl on july 2nd. Im in so much pain. What is the best OTC pain medicine I can take? Pain is from the lipo and in the injected area.
Answer: Pain after BBL It is not uncommon to still have some pain and discomfort 2 weeks after BBL. You should talk to your surgeon about your symptoms. I do not think it is unreasonable to still take some prescription pain medication 2 weeks after surgery, but you should be using less than you used immediately after surgery. You should also talk to your surgeon about different OTC meds. I am usually okay with patient taking Tylenol or an NSAID (Advil, Aleve).

Answer: Post operative pain following BBL Thanks for your question. Pain following a BBL is normal within the immediate post operative period and varies from patient to patient. Most physicians will prescribe pain medication for the post op pain, but some patients are able to get by with OTC meds after a few days. The med you choose should be based on your drug allergies. Check with your physician for their recommendation and if you have excessive or unusual pain your physician may even want to evaluate you to insure there are no unexpected complications.
