I have two cochlear implants and have noticed that the work of the surgeons I admired tend to have scars in the same area where my cochlear implant scars are located. Is a cochlear implant a contradiction to Facelift surgery, or stated another way how likely is disruption of my hearing from the surgery? Not in a rush now as most days I pass for 35 and am 48 but time continues to march on...

Thank you for your question. As others have explained it is likely due to stretching and irritation of the frontal branch of your facial nerve. Fortunately you do not have weakness which would be a serious problem.

This just looks like a fair amount of bruising and swelling. Often the cheeks can swell from fat grafting as well. Rest assured it will settle with time
