Where can I get a BBL? My budget is 6,000

Hi I'm 5 feet tall and I'm 128-130 lbs , I have a budget of 6,000 , I know I can go to tj and get a good deal but I'm afraid of going to the border can some one help me please thanks

Hi and thank you for your question.  I strongly advise that you stay North of the border.  In general, it is important that you consider more than price when choosing to undergo surgery.  Although I realize that budget is a big part of your decision, it should not be the most important.  There are plenty of good plastic surgeons in Las Vegas, many of who offer financing options to help you bridge the gap.  Surgery (even elective plastic surgery) is serious.  While the procedure takes 5-8 hours, the recovery takes weeks to months.   Following BBL, I will see my patients after surgery at 1 day, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year.  Each of these follow up exams is important to fine-tune your recovery process.  The other thing to consider is your relationship with your surgeon.  It's natural after surgery to have specific questions about what's happening with your body. This often requires an in-office exam and sometimes intervention. By going South of the border you are now exposing yourself to a greater risk of complications, with no one locally invested in your final result.  Another important consideration is travel after surgery.  I usually recommend no flights for 3-4 weeks after surgery due to the risk of blood clots and that my patients do not sit on their buttock graft for up to 6 weeks.  All this without mentioning that within our borders our surgical training, surgery centers, all medications, and all medical equipment are held to the highest standards. My best advise is to find someone locally, who you can trust and that you can easily talk with.  The average BBL is $8-13k, so you would be better off saving for a few more months than dealing with the complications associated with medical tourism. Thanks for the question and provided information as well.
When choosing a plastic surgeon, the most important thing to consider is that he or she is board certified, the experience with the procedure you are interested in and that you feel comfortable in his/her hands. 
In the Dominican Republic, we have excellent doctors, great professionals, and most importantly, board certified plastic surgeons, that you can choose from.

In Dominican Republic a board certified PS , should charge from 3500 to 4500 dollars for a liposuction a BBL. Some Doctors offer all inclusive packages.Including an insurance for any surgical complication.RegardsDr Hernandez Pizzoglio

Dear Ms. Yei5girls,Thank you for your questions.While there are many excellent surgeons in other countries I would strongly advise to have your surgery within driving distance of your home.Why:1) pre and post operative appointments2) what happens if you have a intraoperative complication? What medical care is a available is available? Will your insurance cover the complication? Who pays if you required a air ambulance to be brought home?3)What if you need a revision?4)it's best not to fly for several weeks after surgery (pain, blood clots, etc).5)price should be only one of the factors... The savings could be more based on air flights, lodging, travel time, inconvenience especially if a revision would be needed.I suggest you make several appointments with experienced Plastic Surgeons who have in office financing options and who are not only Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery but in addition ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (denoting by membership as having met additional criteria and a focus on Cosmetic Plastic Surgery).My best wishes, Dr. R.
