Does liposuction work for lipohypertrophy? Lumps on abdomen.

I have two small lumps on my abdomen from my insulin injections. They've really been bothering me and I want them gone. I've been researching liposuction and it seems like the best option of removal. I was just wondering if this would even work.

Liposuction has really helped so many patients who have wasted money on freezing the areas and only got bigger in the areas. Liposuction can reduce thickened areas which are fatty and fibrous.

Liposuction is a great tool to correct localized adiposity. Depending on the extent of liposuction could be performed under local vs general anesthesia. Insulin dependent lipodystrophy could be addressed with liposuction but an evaluation is necessary. Best to you.

Insulin injection sites are common areas for increase in size of local fat cells.  Liposuction does certainly work well for this condition and can be done under local anesthesia in the office.
