8weeks post op. Had lipo on flanks, my back, upper and lower stomach and about 3inches down on the top of my butt for contouring. PS said I could stop wearing garment 4weeks ago. How long should I wear the compression garment? Why is this happening? This picture is right after the procedure and I usually stay flat until I stop wearing the garment then the top and lower start getting mushy. Is this normal. I'm 47...that scar was from a surgery in my 20's.

I recommend following up with your Doctor about liposuction after care. I have my patients wear compression for 3-6 weeks straight then overnight for 3-6 months after their procedure. For liposuction after care, I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. Liposuction will cause swelling and when the compression garment is removed swelling will develop. Most swelling will go down over time. Most swelling will diminish after 6-8 weeks but will persist for several more months.
