Will Medicare cover a brow lift needed after craniotomy because the nerve was damaged? (Photo)

Question

I had a craniotomy in Oct 2019 for removal of a benign meningioma. Immediately post op I was unable to raise my right eyebrow. The nerve was cut. Will Medicare cover a brow lift to fix it? Also will both eyebrows be done?

If the brow droopiness interfere with your
eye function it may be cover by insurance.
See an ophthalmologist for evaluation and

Your photograph shows visually significant brow ptosis on the right side. When the brow droops to the extent that it interferes with vision then medicare will cover the surgical repair. With paralytic brow ptosis the repair is more complicated so I would recommend that you consult with a surgeon experienced in correcting paralytic brow ptosis.

By the Appearance of the  photograph and endoscopic brow lift will certainly improve the drooping brow and probably match the left side. Unfortunately Medicare is very specific in their coverage but it is certainly worthwhile attempt to obtain a preauthorization for their coverage due to your previous history of the craniotomy.
